Here is a transcription of Jelly Roll Morton's Red Hot Peppers ca. 1929. The tune is Mint Julep.
The instrumentation is as follows;
- Clarinet
- 1st Trumpet
- 2nd Trumpet
- Trombone
- Piano
- Banjo/Guitar (one part)
- Bass/Tuba (one part)
- Drums
- Score
This chart features wonderful ensemble parts which are completely written out except the clarinet part which is just a chord sketch except the solo. I removed the piano solo and added a clarinet and trombone solo in its place.
